Tourism Burlington is designated as the city’s destination marketing organization. We work with local tourism partners to promote the city as a business and leisure travel destination through a variety of marketing initiatives.
Burlington attracts tourists and visitors from far and near to annual events, community attractions with a regional and world-class appeal, as well as meetings and conventions. Tourism Burlington's staff and volunteers welcome visitors daily at the Tourism Burlington Visitor Centre located at 414 Locust St.
Exceptional Visitor Experiences
Tourism Burlington's annual budget is approximately $430,000 with $340,000 in core funding from The City of Burlington. Other sources of funding include transition funding received from the Province of Ontario to replace the Destination Marketing Fee (over $500,000/year) collected by the Burlington Hotel Association on room rates; partner co-op marketing initiatives; grants from various levels of government and other sources and profits from souvenir sales.
