Our Policy
When you visit the Tourism Burlington website you do so anonymously and are not required to tell us who you are. Tourism Burlington may request personal information from you in order to provide requested specialized services, but such information is handled as it would be on an in-person visit.  When personal information is requested it is our commitment to provide notice outlining:

Users participating in Tourism Burlington contests may be required to submit varying degrees of personal information, depending upon the nature of the particular contest. The specific information to be collected and how it will be used will be disclosed in the general contest rules and regulations and/or in the referring contest page or newsletter. The names, addresses and photographs or likenesses of contest winners may be reproduced on the site or in other advertising materials.

Surveys
From time to time, Tourism Burlington will conduct online surveys for internal purposes or for third parties, to gather general information about users and/or their views. Participation in these surveys is voluntary; no information will be collected except that which is knowingly supplied by the user. Identifying Personal Information will not be shared.

Tourism Burlington provides links to other sites to help visitors in trip planning and to provide industry partners with resources. You have the right to request, access, rectify, erase, and restrict how we process your personal data.  These rights include the ability to review the personal data we have in our information and communications systems concerning you, to make any corrections to that personal data to be informed of who that data may have been shared with, to request that we erase all of our personal data, and to restrict how we process your personal data. We are required to respond to any of your requests to exercise these above rights as soon as possible and will contact you to inform you of any delay.

Any images, graphics, multimedia, or content on our websites is copyrighted by Tourism Burlington.  The site contains names, logos, trademarks, service marks and other intellectual property which are the property of Tourism Burlington and may not be used for any purpose without the express written consent of Tourism Burlington. Miscellaneous
The terms and conditions outlined throughout this Privacy Policy, are interpreted in accordance with and governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario (without applying the province’s conflict-of-law principles).  If any provision of this agreement is unlawful, void or unenforceable, it will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
