Nature’s bounty comes to life in the spring during the Maple Syrup festival at Bronte Creek Provincial Park while effervescent lilacs, daffodils and 100,000 tulips bloom at the Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG).

The summer’s Sound of Music Festival brings together an invigorating mix of acclaimed Canadian performers and emerging talent with crowd-pleasing outdoor venues that include bistro patios and waterfront stages.  Enjoy numerous other festivals, water sports, golf and many other outdoor activities at our local parks.

The splendor of conservation areas is on display during the autumn with crisp, cool hikes amidst brilliant colours and harvest festivals.  This fall we are thrilled that the Burlington Performing Arts Centre is now open and we encourage visitors and residents to take in the amazing performances and events.

Winter is an exhilarating time of the year with something for everyone. Bring the family out for a day of downhill skiing and snowboarding on the 12 slopes at Glen Eden Ski Centre, hike, trek or stroll the Bruce Trail, Canada’s oldest footpath with over 1200 km of nature to be explored, lace up the skates at an indoor or outdoor skating rink, celebrate the season during the winter carnival or sip hot chocolate as you walk through the Festival of Lights in Spencer Smith Park.

Art, culture, and heritage exhibits are showcased in our year-round museums preserving Burlington’s long history. Stroll the downtown historical streets and discover the first homes built in Burlington dating back to the late 1800’s. Outdoor adventurers eagerly challenge themselves on the Bruce Trail by scaling an escarpment wall or cycling scenic rural or city routes. For a more leisurely pace, window shop in Burlington’s quaint boutiques, get pampered in a spa, or walk the Labyrinth at Central Park.
