The Costume Gallery, The Burlington Gallery and Children’s Discovery Gallery

January 1 @ 8:00 am - December 31 @ 5:00 pm

$6 – $8

The Costume Gallery depicts a golden time in Burlington’s history, when people travelled miles to see their favourite musical entertainer at The Brant Inn. It is said that when the Benny Goodman band performed, the OPP had to be called in to handle the traffic jams on the highways! The Brant Inn was Canada’s Hollywood.

The Burlington Gallery explores topics that tell distinct yet interweaving stories, exploring Burlington’s rich history and heritage. Learn about Joseph Brant, Thayendanegea (Burlington’s first citizen) and how the village of Burlington grew into the city we know today through immigration, farming, shipping, railways and development.

The Children’s Discovery Gallery at the Joseph Brant Museum is an area specifically designed for children to enjoy. Kids can explore, discover and learn in a hands-on, interactive environment. Everything is for touching in this space!
