Musician/Sound Engineer

Moniz started in music playing drums for Burlington punk rockers Grade and played bass for 5 years for Avril Lavigne.  Now a sound engineer he has worked with numerous artists including Bruno Mars, Jason Derulo, Adele and Nicki Minaj.  In 2018 he won three Grammy awards for his work with Bruno Mars on 24K Magic including best engineered album in a non-classical category, record of the year and album of the year.  In 2017, he won a Grammy for his work on Adele’s 25.  His first Grammy nod was for record of the year for Mark Ronson’s hit Uptown Funk featuring Bruno Mars in 2016.
