Mother’s Day in Burlington

May 4, 2023

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and if you’re looking for a special way to celebrate the moms in your life, look no further than the shops, food scene and relaxtainment Burlington has to offer.

For the Mom with a sweet tooth:

The Chocolate is flowing in Burlington as our chocolatiers are busy crafting some sweet treats for Mom. Remind mom she is the “Best Mom Ever” with a wish bar from Crème de La Crème. Or, let mom indulge with Walker’s Chocolate Chocolate Heart Box filled with chocolaty goodness inside and out (yes, even the box is chocolate!). Pre-order a variety of treats from Sierra’s Sweet Treats, ranging from cupcakes to pretzels by May 11 for pick up. Custom orders are available!

For a different side of sweetness, you can never go wrong with a Biscotti from Mrs. B’s Gifthouse or preordering from Kelly’s Bake Shoppe’s Mother’s Day cupcake menu.

For a sugary mommy and me activity, check out Christy’s Gourmet Gift’s Sugar Cookie Decorating Kit.

Want a tasty treat that will last a while? Springridge Farm has handmade marmalade packed with peaches, oranges, and a splash of champagne to celebrate, available in their Barn Market.

For the Moms ready to be pampered:

If relaxation is what you’re after, Burlington has plenty of spa options. Let Mom’s worries float away at Stillwater Float Centre Relaxation Spa. Treat her to a treatment of choice from Spa in the Village or The Pearl Hotel Spa.

For the Nature Lover:

Conservation Halton is hosting several events across their parks to celebrate with Mom. “Chair-ish” your mom with a scenic chairlift ride at Kelso Conservation Area. You can also build a decorative box or make a candle at Mountsberg Conservation Area. All parks will be open for hiking, with a special guided walk through the wildflowers available at Crawford Lake.

For the foodie:

Waffles, drinks and other brunch items

Looking to treat mom to a meal out? Gametime Social is offering brunch and cocktails with half-price games in their arcade. Sunset Bistro also has a special brunch menu. Pepe and Lela’s is offering special features from 12-6 pm. Also, Barra Fion has a gift for Mom along with their special features, available from 12-9 pm. Contact the restaurants directly for reservations, as they are filling up fast!

Pre-order from Saving Thyme and bring the high tea experience home for good conversations and trips down memory lane. Then, indulge with the Roast Beef dinner special at Skyway Diner.

Still looking for that special gift?

Burlington has a wide variety of local shops to help you #ShopLocal and bring that special gift home to Mom. Add some plant life to her home with the new spring arrivals from Foli or hit the town with a new look from Pure Boutique. No matter her style, the shops in Downtown Burlington can help you find the right thing to bring home. Also, check out the Mother’s Day in Aldershot, Gift Guide for some ideas.

Or why not consider incorporating some retail therapy into the celebrations with a Burlington Downtown gift card so mom can choose her own treat? Mother’s Day week will also have a new flourish at Mapleview Centre with a new flower-powered Mother’s Day activation and customized spring bouquet for those that spend $200+ on the same day. Let mom pick out her own farm fresh produce, fine foods, and preserves, or shop the variety of fun finds with a gift card to Springridge Farm’s Barn Market.

No matter where Mother’s Day celebrations take you in Burlington this year, we hope you get to spoil that special person in your life!
