Summer in Burlington has no limits! So, enjoy the warm temperatures and spend the day outside.

Summer Sizzles in Burlington!

Coming to Burlington this summer? Then we have so much in store for you!

Enjoy the great outdoors with us. You can relax on our beautiful beach and do absolutely nothing, or be active and walk or cycle the waterfront trail. This trail is off the road and spans 3.5km from the Brant St. Pier to the Burlington Lift Bridge.  Want to go longer? Once over the lift bridge, explore our neighbouring city, Hamilton, and continue on the waterfront trail.

Burlington comes alive in the summer with many fabulous festivals, patios perfect for dining al fresco, and lots of outdoor activities to choose from where you can enjoy the lake and escarpment.

Festivals

The waterfront and downtown come to life with the annual Sound of Music Festival, Canada’s largest free music festival that kicks off our summer during the week leading up to Father’s Day in June. Enjoy an invigorating mix of acclaimed Canadian and international performers, and emerging performers on bistro patios and our waterfront stages.  You can stroll the downtown streets, lakeside boardwalk or Waterfront Trail taking in the various performances.

Canada Day celebrations on July 1 include music and a spectacular waterfront fireworks display.  And for kids of all ages, check out the Kite Festival in June or the Children’s Festival in August.
