Summer Sizzles in Burlington!
Coming to Burlington this summer? We have so much in store for you!
Enjoy the great outdoors with us. You can relax on our beautiful beach and do absolutely nothing, or walk or cycle the waterfront trail. This trail is off the road and spans 3.5km from the Brant St. Pier to the Burlington Lift Bridge. Want to go longer? Continue on the waterfront trail over the lift bridge, explore our neighboring city, Hamilton.
Burlington comes alive in the summer with many fabulous festivals, patios perfect for dining al fresco and lots of outdoor activities to choose from between the lake and escarpment.
The waterfront and downtown come to life with the annual Sound of Music Festival, Canada’s largest free music festival that kicks off our summer during the week leading up to Father’s Day in June. Enjoy an invigorating mix of acclaimed Canadian and international performers. You can also catch emerging performers on bistro patios and our waterfront stages. You can stroll the downtown streets, lakeside boardwalk or Waterfront Trail taking in the various performances. In recent years the festival has been kicked off by a single paid night featuring high profile acts such as The Cult, The Offspring, Three Days Grace, Tim Hicks, The Beaches, Bush and many more.
