Theatre Smith-Gilmour Acting Workshop

This hands-on workshop will teach you how to embody a character through improvisation and movement to ultimately create your own theatre. All levels of experience are welcome.

Learn from professional acting teachers and founders of the award-winning, Toronto-based theatre company, Theatre Smith-Gilmour! Dean Gilmour and Michele Smith met while studying theatre at the School of Jacques Lecoq in Paris. Since then, Theatre Smith-Gilmour has toured Canada and 14 other countries. Their work was nominated for 40 Dora Awards (winning 10) and won the Montreal English Critics Award for Best Ensemble. Dean Gilmour and Michele Smith taught their work at the National Theatre School and the Shanghai Drama Academy, and they are thrilled to bring their teachings to The Burlington Performing Arts Centre.

*Participants must be at least 15 years old and there will be a maximum of 20 participants allowed.*
