Indoor Fun in #BurlON

July 24, 2022
There are a number of indoor options in Burlington to get out of the house and do something different.

Best for: Individuals or groups
Far Away Greens is an indoor golf facility that caters to everyone from first timers to avid golfers. Owners Jasmina and Gil are very welcoming and knowledgeable. The cool thing is that the computer that tracks all the stats on each shot can assist you in improving your game. For a legit golfer, it can give you a sense of how you hit with each club and what to do to improve your game.

There are 28 unique world renowned courses to choose from and they also have mixed courses with holes from different locations making up the full course. If you are looking to improve your game they can connect you with lessons from a pro including Fareen Samji, 5 time Canadian ILDC Women’s Long Drive Champion (and famous Burlingtonian) and Jeff Howe. No clubs? No problem, if you are traveling or just starting out and don’t have your own clubs don’t worry they have right and left handed clubs available for rent.
For groups, parties and special events there are six simulator bays so you can have a group playing together just like you would on an outdoor course. The optimum group size is 24 but they can make arrangements for larger groups if required.

Far Away Greens is a licensed facility and has a small bar area with a food menu. They also have a putting green in addition to the SIMs.

Requires: 3-5 players

Burlington’s newest indoor gaming facility, located in Millcroft Shopping Centre (behind Movati). Active gaming is just like a video game, where you need to get your avatar from point A to point B. Except this time YOU are the avatar. Games will require you to jump, crawl, run, and hide or risk losing a life. Every game is timed and scores are allotted based on how fast you can complete each level.
Activate offers a unique set of physically interactive games with over 150 levels that need to be beat in order to earn stars and get high scores. All players create a profile and are given an RFID wristband inside the facility, which records their progress. Players’ scores are available online, in addition to stars, badges, and leaderboards.
Price of admission is $25 plus tax per player. This includes 75 minutes of gameplay and full access to the facility. Reservations are strongly advised and can be made on-line.

The Joseph Brant Museum has an amazing static gallery as well as a rotating exhibit. Check their website to see what is being featured at the moment.

Check out their new website for all the up to date information on their galleries and exhibitions. A visit to the AGB shop is a must when visiting. You can always find a special gift or something for yourself.

Enjoy getting out and discovering all that Burlington has to offer!
