June 10, 2024

Celebrate Canada Day like a local with events planned by the City of Burlington in Spencer Smith Park and throughout downtown on Monday, July 1. New this year is an all-day family zone with activities, food and entertainment to extend the fun starting at 9am capped off the fireworks and new drone show at 10pm.  Check out the full day schedule here.

Public transit and cycling are your best options as parking downtown will be almost non-existent. If you do drive, avoid those parking hassles by using the free shuttle bus that runs from Mainway Recreation Centre/Arena starting at 12pm.

Check GO Transit schedules for bus and train options to get here and connecting Burlington Transit buses.

Better yet, make a long weekend of it and come to Burlington. Book your hotel now.

Then spend the weekend hitting the links at one of eight public golf courses in North Burlington, indulging your sweet tooth, or visiting the Royal Botanical Gardens – Canada’s largest – for horticultural, event or dining experiences.
