Mother’s Day in Burlington

Calling all last minute planners! Mothers Day is fast approaching. Don’t panic, Burlington has a variety of unique experiences to give mom the royal treatment.  

Take in the Arts & Culture 

Start of Mother’s Day at the new exhibits at the Art Gallery of Burlington including a guided tour on May 12th at 10 AM. Take-in the gallery’s new exhibit; We Who Have Known Many Shores and Destroyer and explore the artist’s vision with the help of gallery staff.  

Continue your day of culture with a stop at the Joseph Brant Museums or a walk at Spencer Smith Park to explore Burlington Waterfront Sculpture Trail. This outdoor art exhibit brings together works from artist’s across the country and puts them on display with the beautiful lake as the backdrop. This trail is free and accessible giving everyone in the family an opportunity to share.  

Cap off your culture day with the Burlington Symphony Orchestra’s fairy tale program at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre. Musical pieces include the waltz from Sleeping Beauty and the Prokofiev: Peter and the Wolf.  

A Feast for a Queen 

Treat mom like the Queen she is with a delicious lunch or dinner outing. Barra Fion and Rust Bistro Bar will be hosting brunch services meant to show mom how much you love and appreciate all she does for you.  

Looking for lunch with a view? Explore all the lake side options available in Burlington Downtown or drop by the Rock Garden Bistro (located at the Royal Botanical Gardens) for lunch garden side.  

For a lighter fare option, catch-up with mom with a High Tea outing at the Tea House at Turner Pavillion (Located at the Royal Botanical Gardens) or at the Cupcake Cafe at Mapleview Mall.  

Turn a Day into Weekend  

Celebrate Mom to the fullest and turn her day into a full weekend outing with a stay at one of Burlington’s local hotels. Skip trying to pick your favourite activity and do it all with Mom giving her a weekend to remember.
