For visiting horticulturalists, don’t miss the Royal Botanical Gardens gift shop. There you’ll find gardening supplies and distinctive gift lines, prints, books, and artwork. During your visit to the Joseph Brant Museum or Ireland House Museum, browse the shops for books, toys, and maps with historical flair.
Uniquely Downtown
Stroll through Burlington’s downtown shopping district featuring an array of high fashion boutiques, one-of-a-kind accessories, and gift shops. Parking is free downtown all December and on Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, and evenings year-round, so you can shop til you drop! For a different shopping experience visit the former village of Aldershot in Burlington’s west end, along Plains Road, where you’ll find an eclectic mix of boutiques, shops, and restaurants.

Fans of international retailers will recognize familiar brand names such as IKEA, Apple and Costco. But be sure to explore the many other large stores like Lee Valley, Mountain Equipment Co-op, outdoors superstore SAIL and Marshalls, as well as our two major shopping centres — Mapleview Centre and Burlington Centre, where our seasonal Farmer’s Market is also located.

You don’t have to go far in this city to indulge your sweet tooth. There is no shortage of fabulous local businesses offering specially made chocolates, pastries, cakes, and more. Burlington has many delectable bakeries that whip up made-from-scratch creations and chocolatiers who hand-make delicious chocolate delights and artisans who bake up fresh bread, biscotti, and gourmet doughnuts one batch at a time.
